Since temperatures are dropping rapidly today, it makes me wonder how much heat loss they sustain to produce a springtime atmosphere in the conservatory. The plants were thriving as usual and the aroma of jasmine and gardenia greet you when you enter. The springtime colors of yellow, pink and purple were abundant alongside some winter favorites like amaryllis, poinsettia, and cyclamen reds.
The silver Mediterranean gardens and desert landscapes kept very arid conditions even with dew on the windows. It is always a feast for the senses to visit their beautiful displays.
Thank you for the beautiful respite from winter. Here it isn't all that cold, but I sure do miss the flowers! :-)
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so beautiful! I hope the cold is not so bad that it affects any of the plants. I'm worried about my daughter and family in Illinois. It's amazing that you've all been hit by cold snaps one after the other in close succession.
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers, some of which you will see in Hawaii. Have fun shoveling snow!
ReplyDeleteYes, we have lots of snow to shovel--not fun, but good exercise.
